Shawnie Annette Johnson, born January 6, 1974, passed away unexpectedly August 15 2020 of an unknown causes.

Shawnie is survived by her parents Diane and Kelly Johnson, her best friends and siblings Dana Thorn, Misty Johnson(Robert Thorn) and brother Jared Johnson; as well as her many nieces ,nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandma and grandpa Haas, grandma and grandpa Johnson , grandma and grandpa Godfrey, step mom Sherry Johnson, cousin Aharron Haas, and many friends.

Shawnie had a big heart - she loved and valued her family more than anything. She was so artistic and loved making things for family and friends. It was not uncommon for Shawnie to ask you for favorite colors and then a few days later you would receive her latest master piece. Everyone that knows her has a keychain, bracelet or something she has made specifically for them. We will treasure those things forever. Shawnie was so strong over the last few years - she has faced many battles with her health and she was winning and at one point, she developed an infection in her leg and they wanted to amputate. She was not going to let that happen and did everything they told her to keep it and she did. She was stubborn and passionate - she could and would fight you to the end if you challenged her. Those of us that she let into her world are forever changed for the best and don't know what we are going to do without her. I will never stop missing you my best friend and sister. I love you and there will be a celebration of life to honor her. Shawnie would not want to be put on display but would love nothing more than to hear only Backstreet Boys, see all who knew her and loved to hear all of their crazy story's about her.

A celebration of life open house will held Sunday August 23rd at Murray Park at 4:00, more details to come shortly.
