I've been trying to find different ways to express my sympathies to his kids and family, but everything seems to fall short. Your dad will always hold a special place in my heart, as I'm sure he will in yours. His laugh and smile and his not so funny, yet still pretty funny jokes will be missed by any and all that were lucky enough to know him.

Captain,

Thank you for everything you did for me over the years. I love ya man.

I am so sorry to hear this. I grew up with Richard in the old 12th ward and he was a great friend. We had a ton of fun together over the years and he was always a loyal friend. I remember in 7th grade we were at one of the post school dances. I was trying to figure everything out and I made some guy angry. The guy hit me in the stomach. Richard was the guy that got him off of me and took care of me. He had a sweet personality and really cared for others. I’m saddened to hear of his passing. I pray for peace and comfort to his family. Trust in Gods plan!
