Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Pat Waters, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2018 with family by her side. Pat was born November 28, 1943 in Rigby Idaho to Orville and Lucille (Peterson) Albertson, the fifth of eleven children. Pat married Gordon Waters on December 4, 1959 and they moved to Salt Lake City. Together they had three children, all boys. They also took in and cared for their niece Shauna Bybee who became just like a daughter to Pat.

Pat was such a good person in every way. She made everyone around her feel so important, probably because of her genuine smile as she greeted you and assessed what she thought you may need. She had tireless hands that were willing to serve in any way possible.

Family meant everything to Pat especially in her later years when the grandkids started coming along. She would do anything for them and always wanted to know how they were doing if she wasn't around them.

Pat was an outstanding motivator who was always busy with the day’s activities. If you stayed with her long enough, you would find yourself acting the same, getting things done, no more procrastinating things you wanted to do but just didn’t make the time. You’d start to feel good about yourself as if she was rubbing off on you, slipping into her world of love of family, love of life, or just getting on with the business of the day, not waiting for tomorrow. She would often quote and lived by the phrase: “Work is the currency in which success is purchased.”

Over the years, Pat worked in Real Estate and became a member of the Million Dollar Club. Pat’s favorite past times were gardening, sewing (she made many outfits for herself, children and grandchildren through the years), golfing, and boating at her favorite destination, Lake Powell. These adventures with family and friends will "Work is the currency in which success is purchased." give all of us lasting memories to share.

We will miss her so much and we know that one day soon we will meet again with new mountains to climb, new goals to make reality, and much love to share with family and friends.

Pat is survived by her husband, Gordon Waters; her children Steve (Jyll) Waters, Bryan Waters, and Shawn (Brittney) Waters; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and siblings Janice, Wesley, Lyle, Cheryl, Judy, Sandi, Michelle and Kortney. She is preceded in death by her parents Orville and Lucille Albertson; and her siblings Arlene and Rex.

The family would like to express gratitude to the care givers at Highland Glen and Brighton Hospice for the remarkable care they gave Pat during this difficult time.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, there will be no funeral. There will be a Celebration of Life for the immediate family at a future date to be determined.
