A Life Full of Service and Dedication

Kevin was born at the Salt Lake County General Hospital on Wednesday, June 15, 1949 to Chris and AnnaBelle Michaels. He passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on the morning of August 11, 2020 after fighting a short but courageous battle with cancer.

When Kevin was 18, he became a Marine and served with valor in the Vietnam War.

Kevin was always working with his hands, he painted, did wood carvings and created sculptures. He was a master tinkerer, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t make or repair. If you knew Kevin, you knew that he was an avid collector of everything. Nothing was thrown out – everything had a purpose (even if we didn’t know it at the time). Before you went to the hardware store, you called Kevin and 9 times out of 10, he had what you needed.

But Kevin’s greatest joy came from his family. His love for his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren knew no limitations, there was nothing he would not do for them.

Kevin is survived by his three daughters, Ellie Mae Kunz, Lori Ann Juarez and Ashley Marie Michaels. Six grandchildren, Ronny Lee Juarez (Krystle), Issac Lee Juarez (Vanessa), Jason Lee Juarez, Antonio Lee Juarez, Savannah Kunz and Christian Kunz. Four great grandchildren, Jayson Paul Juarez, Zailey Ann Juarez, Berlyn Marie Juarez and Bronson Lee Juarez. His brother and sister, Gary Lee Bowman and Shawna Kay Winter (Kirk).

He is preceded in death by his Brother Ronnie Michaels, Father Christopher Michaels and Mother AnnaBelle D Wright.
