Kathleen F. Vigil passed away peacefully in her home in the comfort of her son Demecio Saturday May 9, 2020.

She was born December 9, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Leonard Stephen Heyl and Dorothy Louise Maltaner. She was the fourth of seven siblings.

She was a quick witted woman with the gift of gab who befriended many, a lover of all things Elvis and an avid collector of antique nicknacks.

She was known as a kind, generous and loving person who cared for and shared with everyone around her. Her kind spirit will be greatly missed.

Originally from Cincinnati, OH she moved to Utah in 1969 and eventually settled in West Valley City where she lived for 33 years surrounded by many neighbors who eventually became just like family.

She is survived by three sisters and one brother, four children; Demecio (Patricia) Vigil, Ronda Grieg, Tony (Stephanie) Heyl and Arren Skurow; As well as her grandchildren; Danielle (Chanel) Vigil, Devin (Stephanie) Vigil, Shauntell Johnson, Jaden Heyl, Jory Heyl and countless great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both parents and three sisters.

The family would like to thank her hospice caretakers Andrew and Dennis and neighbors Ana and family for their assistance and compassion in her last days.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Danny I want to thank you so much for your loyalty, dedication, and caring of my sister, Kay all these years. We had some good memories from years back and she had some tough times, always pulling through. At least she-did-it-her-way. ☺

Dear Danny, Ronda, Tony, Arren and Grandchildren, your Uncle Joe and I want you to know how very sorry we are to hear of your Mothers passing. We always enjoyed being around Kay, she was a very pleasant and kind person who always made you feel good. She was funny and always laughing and she was very interesting and she never had a loss for words. Grandma Vigil also thought alot of Kay and always spoke kindly about her. We feel blessed to have known her and to have had her in ours lives.
