Josh attended Copperhills Highschool and graduated with the class of 2004. Josh has always loved the outdoors- he enjoyed camping, fishing at the lake, sitting around the fire or anywhere he could relax and enjoy the outdoors. Josh always wanted to be a forest ranger. Josh had a passion for plant life and loved working at the wholesale nursery pulling orders back in 2007 (that was his all-time favorite job). He was great at landscaping and he had a great knowledge of plant life. Josh enjoyed swimming but his favorite part of swimming was sun bathing. When Josh was a teen, he was either in the tanning bed or laying out in the sun. When he was older, he enjoyed swimming with his boys. Josh loved listening to country music especially 80's country but he also loved to rock out to classic 80's rock! His favorite country song was “Copperhead Road” by Steve Earl and his all-time favorite rock song was Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again”. Josh had a fun childhood, he always recalled going camping and fishing with his dad. He always talked about the fun times he had with his brother Kyle up camping and when they would go fishing in the river. Josh had great times at the race track with his mom and her side of the family. Josh also made a lot of memories camping with his mom's side, they would ride 4 wheelers and play horse shoes. Josh made memories and had the best times with all sides of his family- those memories will never be forgotten. He had many great times with his siblings and cousins, Josh had a lot of fun growing up. Josh also had fun spending time with friends and once he got his license, he was always driving around. Josh spent the summers mowing his grandma Sandra's lawn, he loved helping her and was always there to help out. Josh was always there for anyone who needed help no matter what it was or who it was for.

He grew up with his brother Wacey and helped by taking care of him. They always had a sibling love hate, get along argue relationship and though Wacey drove him crazy, he loved his brother. There was a lot of good times and memories made growing up with his mom and his brother Wacey. Him, his mom and Wacey always banded together, they were always there for each other.

Josh was married to his junior high sweetheart and they together had two boys- these boys were his pride and joy. They later divorced but that did not stop him from being the best dad that he could be. Josh was a great dad; he loved his kids more than anything. Many memories were made as the boys were growing up. There was lots of camping trips, swimming in the summers, going to monster trucks, going to the race track, watching movies and spending quality time together. Josh loved being around family, there was always a BBQ, birthday or holiday being celebrated. These are just some of the many memories made that his boys will hold onto forever. This though did not change as the boys grew older. The boys loved spending time with their dad, they would go hot tubbing, watch movies, go out to eat and drive around. The boys and Josh had a thing with going to the gas station for drinks and treats. Josh got that from his mom and now his boys like to do that as well. Josh was always there for his boys when they wanted or needed something. The boys looked up to their dad and they will always cherish the memories of him and the memories they made with him together.

Josh had two favorite colors: red and real tree camouflage, however, he hated to wear the color red, he was more of a gray t-shirt kind of guy. Growing up Josh had spikey hair that had to always be perfect. He also loved sporting his bright white filas and that did not change as he got older. As Josh grew older, you would never catch him without his hat & sunglasses. He loved candy, he always had some kind of candy with him at all times, his favorite were mambas and gummy candies. Josh was a diet coke fanatic just like his mom. He also loved ice cold water and sun tea. Josh would brew his tea in the sun, he couldn't wait for it to be ready to drink, he always said it was the best drink ever. Josh loved his mom’s biscuits and gravy with sausage. He loved tacos, hamburgers & hamburger helper, he also loved breakfast for dinner. Josh always wanted a Toyota Tacoma & a red sports car with tinted windows. The boys were proud of Josh for finally being able to get his red sports car that he always wanted. These are some of the many traits and things Josh loved about life.

Josh was a kind hearted man who was loved by many. He made a lot of friends through the years, he was always a great son, brother, grandson and especially a great dad. He has left a lasting impression on all those who knew him. We are deeply saddened that Josh struggled with addiction through the years and eventually battling his demons with his addiction. Though he battled these demons, he tried to be the best dad that he could be. Ultimately, he lost his life and has left behind his two boys. Josh will always be remembered in our hearts for all the good times and memories had with him. Josh, we love you, you will always be in our hearts and memories. Cohen and Chase will love you forever and always, to the moon and back. Rest in peace Josh, may you be with your mom watching over everyone.

I taught Josh at Copper Hills. I got to know Torrie as well. I've stayed in touch through the years. I am heartsick. The world is a little less bright now. I hope his precious boys grow up knowing how much he loved them. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace Joshua. ❤
