Joseph Michael Carroll, beloved brother and uncle, passed away 3 September from depression. He was 42. A lover of bears, dirty jokes, and kitteh scritchins, Joe was the person who always had your back and would move heaven and Earth to bail out a friend. He is survived by his sister Rachel and his brother in arms Brian, who expected another 20 years of friendship and games and not to have to write such an article, Reeses, a torty kitten who misses her treat provider, as well as a small army of friends, supporters, well wishers, and happy bears, who've lost a true paragon and champion. A memoriam is currently being planned for Sunday at 530 pm at Jensen Park in Syracuse

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that you're gone. You were one of my favorite people!! Always a sweetheart, willing to help out whenever you saw we needed help, we didn't even have to ask, you'd just jump in. Always a good attitude and funny as hell. I miss you so very much. It's just not the same without you. I hope you finally have peace. Love and prayers go out to your family and vast amount of friends!! πŸ˜ͺ❀

I will always remember the fun we had. You always had the answers to my questions and I loved that we had some of the same interests and I could talk to you about things others didn't understand. Life takes us in opposite directions but I always thought of you when I needed to remember lessons learned. Light and Love to your family and Happy trails on your next adventure. Until we meet again! Rest In Peace, my Friend!!!

I've been with you from your start at 3366 and we hit it off over a mutual love of dirty jokes and inappropriate humor. I'm going to miss my big bear of a friend. I'm devastated that youyou're gone but I'm grateful that you're not in pain anymore. My love and condolences to your family and friends. God speed Joe, we got your six ❀

I miss you Joe and your bear hugs, forever. My heart is broken. I asked my sister to find you and help show you around and I was finally able to find a little peace. You rest now.
