She was born 5 May 1940 in Payson, Utah the middle child of three children to Richard Albert Gough and Aleene Kay. She married her true love Clark Henry Rose in Orem, Utah on 28 May 1960. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah Temple.

She grew up on a small farm at the mouth of Payson Canyon, with her sisters Reva and Mariel. The pastures, fields, and forest were their playground. They ran free as wild horses and had a very happy childhood.

She completed high school at Brigham Young High and then graduated with a cosmetology license from Hollywood Beauty College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and Relief Society. She worked at North Ogden Elementary School. She led a life of service—always thinking of others. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, reading, shopping, lunch with the girls, traveling, and marking goals off her bucket list. She lived in North Ogden, Utah and St. George, Utah.

She took joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Clark raised four children. She said her greatest accomplishment was her family. They brought her much happiness. Seldom a day went by that she did not talk on the phone with one or all of her children.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clark and their four children: JaNeece Knowles (Keith), DeAnn Fifield (Steve), Richard Rose (Julee), Nicole Christensen (Chad), 18 grandchildren, 10 great grand children. She is also survived by her sister Mariel Baird Limb (Walt), brother-in-laws: Kenneth Rose (Bobbie), Marvin Limb, and Reid Fowers. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Reva Stubbs, brother-in-law Wayne Stubbs, sister-in- law Julie Fowers.

Aunt Janet was and will always be such an important part of my life. I had the privilege of spending summers with her while I was growing up. She made everything magical. She was the kind of mom that I wanted to be. She loved her family and smothered them with love. I will always be grateful for her love.

Janet was a dear and most loved friend for all the 18 or so years we lived as neighbors in North Ogden. She was a gifted lady who had a heart of gold who I don't believe ever realized what a gift she was to all who knew her. She taught me much and enriched my life greatly. There were not too many days that went by that we didn't speak on the phone or in person. She had a big spirit and a lovely heart and I loved her very much. She made my life so much better, just by knowing her. I wish she could have realized just what a beautiful and wonderful person she was. Course by not knowing her true beauty......if she didn't know.....kept her the humble. beautiful, wonderful women she always was. I love you Janet, then now and always.

I love Aunt Janet, she will be missed. I think I was in high school before I realized she wasn't really my aunt, yet she really was! My memories of Thanksgiving dinner at her house, trips to Cache Valley Cheese, playing air hockey in the basement, making her a sugar-free pie, etc. The memories go on and on. I am so sorry for your loss!!
