Our sweet mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend Gunhild Brunsvik Simonsen rejoined her Heavenly family on March 6, 2020.

She was born March 4, 1928 to Magnus Brunsvik and Ragna Almenning , the 6th of 8 siblings, on a small farm called Jareteigen in Sem, Vestfold, Norway. She Joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1947 and emigrated to the United States in 1949. In 1951 she went back to Norway to serve a mission for the Church where she met her future husband. She married Egill Haug Simonsen May 10, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. Gunhild and Egill are the parents of 9 children, seven sons and two daughters. She devoted her life to raising her children and had a great influence on her grandchildren, all who love her very much! Gunhild was a humble and sweet woman who spent her time serving her family and always put others needs before her own. She said HER CHILDREN’S JOYS WERE HER JOYS, THEIR SORROWS HER SORROWS.

Preceded in death by her parents Magnus and Ragna, her siblings Bjarne, Ingebjorg, Ingvar, HER CHILDREN'S JOYS WERE HER JOYS, THEIR SORROWS HER SORROWS. Kaare, Rolf, Olav and Solfrid, her three sons Ben, Tom and Finn and her grandson Erik.

Survived by her husband Egill, her children (Erna), Fred (Jan), Boyd, Raymond (Claudine), Reuben (Heather), Lilah and Julie (Tony), her 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on

Wednesday March 11, 2020- 11:00am at the Kaysville 7th Ward building located at 331 south 50 west

Kaysville, Utah.

Viewing from 9:30 to 10:30am prior to the funeral service.

Tuesday March 10, 2020- 6:00 to 8:00pm Viewing at Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary.
