Gerald Lynn McNeal (80) of Mayfield, Utah passed away July 30, 2020 surrounded by family at his home after a hemorrhagic stroke. He was born in Santaquin, Utah in 1939 to Mac and Ferrel McNeal. After leaving high school early, Gerald's mother prompted him to enroll in Art school where he honed his remarkable talents as an artist, a skill he would use throughout his life.

Gerald entered the army as a young man, serving primarily at Fort Lawton where he was a cook. That experience fostered a life-long interest in cooking and nutrition. Those interests, along with his skill as a gardener, fostered a passion for the use of nutrition and natural remedies to support health and well-being.

Gerald was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and strived to live the principles of the gospel.

Gerald was Faith is the key. Love the lord and also love yourself, for we are made in his image." preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronnie McNeal, and grandson Jesse Pitt. He is survived by his wife, Earllynn McNeal, children Linda (Craig) Moe, Laura (Tom) Reiter, Eirinmarie (Tom) Woodward, Esther (Justin) Jensen, Clara-ann (Damon) Cann, AndrewPeter, and James. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan and Hannah Moe; Shayna (Sinson) Lee (great-grandchildren Nayali, Jesse, and Kairen); Will and Caitlyn Woodward; Jordan, Braden, Tanner, and Skyler Jensen; Cambria, Ian, Colton, and Bradley Cann; as well as his sisters, Darla (Bill) Shiflett and Sherie (Jim) Hofeling.
