She was born December 9, 1940. She was the first of 8 children. She lovingly cared for and helped raise her younger siblings after her mom passed away when Jean was 6. Jean met her eternal companion Roy Reynolds through her brother Ron who had been hired into the family business. Jean and Roy were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 9, 1961. Roy and Jean then started a BMW motorcycle shop which they passionately ran together for many years. They rode everywhere together and even spent their honeymoon on the back of the motorcycle going across the country.

Jean and Roy lived a wonderful life together raising eight children. They had two biological children then selflessly fostered three and adopted three more. She deeply loved her 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Jean was a very loving and caring person. She would help everyone she met in any way she could. She wouldn't let you leave without showing you how she felt by giving you a big hug. You could always find Jean cooking and baking for her family and friends.

She knew the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true and wanted to share Jesus’ love with everyone around her. She would spend hours doing service, helping people she loved.

Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen. She is survived by her husband Roy, children William, Mark, Rena, Rufus, Rose, John, and Christy.

A viewing for Jean will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020, from 10:00-10:45 AM, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the Glacial Park Ward, 2675 East Mount Jordan Road (9700 South), Sandy, Utah 84092. So sad to loose a friend I have had since my youth when her family moved to Bluffdale. Jean was always so kind & thoughtful. I'm going to miss having lunch & visiting with Six long time friends every other month. - - - - - - - - - Now there will only be Five of us.

So sorry to hear of the loss of Jean. My thoughts, prayers and my the comforter be with you at this difficult time in your life.

I was counting the days we might be able to have our luncheons again, Jean always greeted us with the biggest simile and a hug. She will be missed greatly, we will still get together in her memory.

In part of Elementary School and thru all of High School she was one of my best buddies. She was one of my close neighbors we would get together in our spare time. One of the things I remember she liked to read was funny books I did too, because she borrow some of ours, lots of found memories. I will deeply miss her!

May God Bless you all Audrey Mousley Bateman

To the whole Reynolds family, (and especially to Roy, Mark, and William, who I knew the best) Jean was a teacher for me from my childhood to my teens. I'm sorry to hear of her passing. I'm sure it's a bittersweet day for all of you. She will always be loved and well-remembered. She gave me the recipe for her "secret recipe cookies" as a wedding gift. It always makes me smile because it starts with "Mix in a baby bathtub" And truthfully, it does make a ton of cookies. :D That was great because she always made enough to share. Any time we were at the house, she'd pull some out of the freezer to share. We all loved them. She was always a kind and compassionate woman to me. She even offered me some of her clothes once. I hope you will all find comfort and blessings in your memories.

My sincerest condolences,

Kathy Ford
