Carol was born July 6, 1942 in Mt. Pleasant Utah. She was a determined student and graduated from North Sanpete High School and earned a scholarship at BYU. She was the oldest of 5 children and had a great love for each of her siblings.

Carol met her lifelong love, Edward Theodore Anderson, in California. Their first date was to see the Pink Panther movie. They were married on September 3, 1966. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 2, 1989.

Carol earned a PHT (putting hubby through) certificate from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. She excelled at typing and shorthand and worked as a secretary for the California State DMV, Boeing Aircraft Company, and Trade Tech. Carol and Ed moved from California to Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, then later settled in Utah to raise their family where they managed an apartment building in downtown Salt Lake City then purchased a home in Bennion (now Taylorsville). Carol and Ed were devoted to one another and set an example of sticking together through the ups and downs of life over 52 years together.

Carol loved children and faithfully supported her two daughters, Lori and Kathy, making sure they had every opportunity to grow through lessons in piano, art, dance, color guard, baton twirling, and cheerleading. She loved sharing news about her daughters to everyone she met.

Carol was a skilled seamstress, cook, candy maker, cake decorator, gardener, caregiver, and friend. Being with children was a great joy and she provided day care in her home for many years. She enjoyed studying the gospel and was a teacher in primary and relief society.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Ed, daughters Lori Allen, Kathy Miller (Mike), siblings Boyd Johnson, Pearl Robinson, and Lora Hamilton; seven grandchildren (Lindsey, Marcus, Alyssa, Josh, Alex, Emily, Hannah), and one great grandchild (Grayson). She is now reunited with her parents Loftin and Nina Johnson and her brothers Wayne and Dean.

Family members will gather in a private memorial service on May 23, 2019.
